RAFT & HIKE ADVENTURE
Overview
We combine an enjoyable rafting trip on the McKenzie River with a scenic nature hike on the 26-mile McKenzie River National Trail. This trip is ideal for multiple couples interested in sharing a great outdoor experience while learning how to have stronger marriages.
Schedule
Trips are scheduled June through September and are generally three days beginning on Friday and ending Sunday. Each trip is customized to the couple or group so schedules are flexible. We usually meet in Eugene, Oregon and proceed to set up camp and take an evening hike. Saturday is used for a full day of rafting on the McKenzie River with class 2 and 3 rapids. The McKenzie River is one of the cleanest and clearest rivers on the west coast. Saturday evening, marriage concepts and teachings are discussed around a campfire and dinner. Sunday is used for additional hiking and camp breakdown.
Gear
You must provide all of your necessary clothing and sleeping provisions. We recommend the following:
- Hard shell jacket
- Insulation layers
- Warm hat & shade hat
- Swim shorts & river sandals
- Sunglasses
- Boots
- Sleeping bag & pad
We provide all food, cooking equipment, tent, rafts, rafting gear, permits, and camp fees.
Cost
Our trips are all inclusive with no hidden costs. Due to the customized nature of our trips, we provide a no-obligation Trip Quotation for each adventure. Typical cost for a couple on this three day trip is $800 to $1,000 depending on the gear requirements and special needs. Group rates are available for more than two couples.
Logistics
Start and finish times are flexible and will be coordinated with the couple or group. Transportation to and from Portland International Airport or Eugene Airport can be arranged as part of the trip if needed.
