BACKPACK ADVENTURE
Overview
Our typical backpacking trip takes place in the Oregon Cascade mountain range. We hike along the Pacific Crest Trail, a world renowned trail that runs from Mexico to Canada. Couples work together to pack their gear and set up their camp site as we facilitate their efforts. Marriage teaching takes place in the evening and throughout the day. Optional summit trips to nearby peaks can be included in the trip.
Schedule
Trips are scheduled June through September and are generally three days beginning on Friday and ending Sunday. Each trip is customized to the couple or group so schedules are flexible. We meet at the trailhead and hike in together to the first campsite. Saturday is used for sightseeing and additional hiking depending on your desires. Sunday is for the hike out to the trailhead.
Gear
You must provide all of your necessary clothing, boots, and sleeping provisions. We recommend the following:
- Hard shell jacket
- Insulation layers
- Warm hat & shade hat
- Sleeping bag & pad
- Sunglasses
- Boots
- Backpack for gear
We provide all food, cooking equipment, tent, and permits.
Cost
Our trips are all inclusive with no hidden costs. Due to the customized nature of our trips, we provide a no-obligation Trip Quotation for each adventure. Typical cost for one couple on this three day trip is $800 to $1,000 depending on the location, gear requirements, and special needs. Group rates are available for more than two couples.
Logistics
Start and finish times are flexible and will be coordinated with the couple or group. Transportation to and from Portland International Airport or Eugene Airport can be arranged as part of the trip if needed.
